General Responsibilities
Officer of the Day is a first point of contact to assist members with any issues that come
up.
- Keep the clubhouse and grounds clean and tidy
- Answer questions that members have about the club. Get to know your fellow EYC members! Community is important.
- Greet visitors. It's common for people to come looking for details on the club and to scope out the facilities. Please be welcoming and sing our charms!
- Ensure that the Boston Whaler is available for use.
Also
- Walk both docks and check the mooring lines. Tidy up lines blocking the walkway. Check often on an easterly wind.
- If you own a mobile VHF radio, use it periodically to monitor channel 16.
End of Day
- Sign and date the OOTD logbook. Make a note of any supplies that need replenishing or significant occurrences during the day.
- Lock the front and side door of the clubhouse.
