Q: What is the Edmonton Yacht Club?
A:
The Edmonton Yacht Club is a not-for-profit, volunteer community, committed to the sport of sailing and operating a clubhouse & docking facilities. Established in 1923, we organize social events and training for sailors and their families. We're located at Seba Beach, an hour west of Edmonton.

Q: Do I need sailing experience to join EYC?
A: You do, but if you don't have experience, check out our sailing school.


Q: How much does it cost to be a member?
A: Our rates are posted under Membership Price List on this page. For 2025: New members receive 50% off of first year's membership fee

Q: Do I need a boat to join EYC?
A: No, but you will have to buy one eventually. We can guide you on buying a sailboat. We list some boats for sale.


Q: What kind of boat do you need?
A: Our members have everything from 13-foot dinghies through 28-foot yachts. None of the boats are very fancy!

Between "docks in" in May and "docks out" in October, there are almost always members at our facilities in Seba Beach each weekend (address & map). And sailors love to talk boats!
