Volunteering is key
The club is run by members who volunteer. As a member you are obligated, at a minimum, to:
- Help with Docks In (installing the docks & mooring field in the spring).
- Help with Docks Out (storing the docks & mooring field for the winter).
- Be Officer of the Day once a year.
The virtual side of EYC
- We once used DutyMan, an online system that lists work to be done and allows members to volunteer for that work. As of Spring, 2021, we are moving to a new system; stay tuned.
- Our Webmaster will add your email address to our Mailchimp service, used to email newsletters that detail upcoming events and other useful information.
- Please become familiar with this website. In particular, note:
- We run two wifi networks that work in the clubhouse and (on a good day) perhaps 20 metres outside the clubhouse. The network names and passwords are on this Members Only page.
- An EYC member maintains a private Facebook group that you can join. Write to the Webmaster to join.
