Onboarding: EYC Grounds
This page aims to answer the question, "What should a new member learn about the EYC property?" An EYC member will introduce you to:
- The boundary of our property.
- Cabins and trailer pads are leased yearly. There is a wait list of members wanting to lease these items, maintained by the Hurry Inn Director (email).
- We own a number of sheds that hold tools and gear for use at the lake. Examples:
- strain gauge
- pressure washer
- ladders
- extension cords
- power tools
- &c
- Parking:
- Residents of cabins & trailers at Hurry In: the area between the cabins and the road.
- Members & guests can park between the clubhouse and the road.
- There is village public parking immediately north of our grounds.
- We own a Boston Whaler that we keep on the north dock for safety and races. All members must learn how to operate our Whaler. When it comes your turn to be Officer of the Day, you need to be capable to assist in an emergency on the water. A club member will show you where to find the key and gas and will take you out for an introductory spin.
- We have outdoor racks to store kayaks, paddle boards, etc.
- When members notice full garbage cans they take the bag to the wooden garbage boxes at the roadside. Supplies of garbage bags are kept in the first room on your right when you enter the north entrance.
- Pets must be on a leash when on the grounds.
- The fire pit on the beach is available to members.
- The lakeside deck of the clubhouse has BBQs for member use. The attached propane tanks comes with; if a tank is empty, please fill it and submit an expense claim to the Treasurer (email).
